Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What services do you offer?

    • We specialize in drone video and mapping, as well as comprehensive video production services, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and post-production.

  2. How do drones enhance video production?

    • Drones open up new possibilities for video production by capturing unique aerial shots. They can substitute for equipment like sliders, cranes, and vehicle mounts, providing dynamic perspectives at a fraction of the cost.

  3. Is drone videography legal and safe?

    • Absolutely. I operate in full compliance with all local and federal regulations. My indoor drones are equipped with prop guards to protect both the environment and equipment. I adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure risk-free operations.

  4. Do you handle permits and permissions for drone flights?

    •   Yes, I handle all the necessary permits and permissions required for drone flights. The FAA's approval process can vary depending on the location and airspace restrictions. While some areas offer instant approvals through an automated system, others may require a more detailed review. The FAA aims to process most permits within 14 days, but in some cases, it can take up to 60 days. I will manage this entire process on your behalf and keep you informed of any timelines, ensuring we plan accordingly to meet your project's needs. Additional charges apply for any flights that need direct human approval  from the FAA and cannot go through an automated process.

  5. What types of projects do you work on?

    • We cater to a wide range of projects, testimonials, corporate videos, promotional content, events, and cinematic productions. Our services are customized to meet the unique needs of each client.

  6. How does the video production process work?

    • Our process begins with a consultation to understand your vision, objectives and key goals. You and I then plan the shoot, conduct filming with our equipment, and proceed to editing and post-production, incorporating your feedback along the way.

  7. What equipment do you use?

    • I utilize a fleet of drones, each designed for specific purposes, along with professional-grade video and audio equipment for ground footage. This includes both traditional and FPV (First-Person View) drones to capture immersive experiences.

  8. How long does a typical project take to complete?

    • Project timelines vary based on complexity and scope. A simple shoot might take a few days from planning to final delivery, while more elaborate projects could span several weeks. Things that impact my project turnaround time are the equipment used, length of project, revisions and adding extra effects.

  9. Do you offer editing and post-production services?

    • Yes, we provide comprehensive editing and post-production services, including color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and incorporating logos and visual effects to enhance the final product.

  10. What are your rates for drone videography and production services?

  15. How do weather conditions affect drone operations?

    • Weather can impact drone flights. We monitor forecasts closely and may need to reschedule in cases of adverse conditions like rain, high winds, or poor visibility to ensure safety and optimal footage quality. If I am shooting FPV outside, I try to aim for less than 10mph. There are no rescheduling fees based upon weather events.

  16. Can you operate drones indoors?

    • Yes, indoor drone operation is one of my specialties, and I have won awards for my work. There is no better way to showcase a location than by giving viewers the feeling of actually being there.

    • We are based in OKC and serve clients nationwide. Most of my work is in Texas or Oklahoma. For projects outside our immediate area, travel arrangements can be discussed.

  18. How high and far can your drones fly?

    • Legally, drones can fly up to 400 feet above ground level. In certain areas around tall structures, I can fly higher with proper authorization. Drones have a range of several miles, but we always operate within line-of-sight as per regulations.
